STANDARD ABRASIVES Toolkrib NJ
Tool-Krib Stocks a Full Line of Coated and Non-Woven Abrasives from Standard Abrasives
Based in Oak Hills, California, Standard Abrasives since 1959 has been serving the metalworking industry with an evolving line of coated, bonded and non-woven abrasives designed for productive high-speed deburring, grinding, polishing, finishing and cleaning applications on metal surfaces of all types.
Standard’s product line includes quick-change discs, flap wheels, cartridge rolls, fibre discs and non-woven wheels, brushes, flap discs, hand pads, belts and more. The company’s 1959 introduction of quick-change discs revolutionized the way metals were ground. Today, they remain a popular choice for attaching discs to power tools. Two decades later, Standard Abrasives expanded the line to include non-woven abrasives. In 1983, the company acquired a plant in Brookville, Ohio, to expand its line of coated abrasive specialties, and in 1994 built an environmentally responsible non-woven manufacturing facility in California. Standard Abrasives’ Oak Hills facility achieved ISO 9001 certification in 1998.
A year later, Standard Abrasives introduced its Convolute Wheel, and in 2003 unveiled a full line of mandrel-mounted and large flap brushes. Cut-off wheels joined the product line in 2008. Tool-Krib Supply maintains an extensive inventory of Standard Abrasives’ coated abrasives and non-woven products for any industry that uses metals in its manufacturing, from general machining to aerospace and defense, medical, energy, automotive, and general engineering.
